Prabhunath Singh (born 20 November 1953) is a noted politician from Bihar, India, and was a member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India. He represented the Maharajganj (Bihar) (Lok Sabha constituency) of Bihar and is a member of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), political party of Lalu Prasad Yadav.

According to the National Election Watch, Prabhunath Singh was among the more serious criminals contesting the Indian general elections, 2009. He is the main accused in a double murder case and has around two dozen more criminal cases pending against him.[1] He also faces cases related to assaults on government officials. But he is considered close to Nitish Kumar and JD-U national president Sharad Yadav and also Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders in Delhi.

While he was one of the few criminal-politicians who were given a JD-U nomination in the 2009 elections, he lost narrowly (less than 3000 votes) to RJD's Uma Shanker Singh.
